Simply adding the link did not fix the issue, needed to also run sudo sed -i 's/XINERAMA/FAKEEXTN/g' /user/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.04/jre/lib/i386/xawt/libmawt.so Im no programmer, but it appears that the libmawt.so file and the improper placement of the symbolic link are the cause of the issue, and not Firefox 3 in-and-of-itself (my personal feelings about the application trying too hard to look and feel like a specific proprietary browser application never entered into my evaluation)</blockquote><div> Hehe, I actually meant changing its status to "Confirmed" ;-) According to that forum thread you linked to, the problem is actually a problem with Java.
