Hi,

Here are some xubuntu-artwork-screenshots I am working on.

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Xubuntu/Artwork/Gutsy/Incoming
date. We also have to make sure that in addition to the graphics the
gtk and the icon themes too go into the release. For the gtk theme I
suggest murrina blue-gray and for the icon theme nuevo.

Let me know what you think.

jmak

I like the background and the icons (though, even though I haven't tried it myself yet, has anyone tried Dropline Neu [1]? It looks quite good to me, though I don't know what license it has) but I have to agree that the GTK theme is awfully cold.

The login screen and usplash, however, look awesome! The only doubts I have is with the reflection of the logo (not the text) - it looks a bit awkward to me. And yes, the contour of the text might be a bit darker. But I want to say this again - they look awesome! The login box looks very sleek and it's amazing what you managed to do in the Usplash with so few colours available. This is going to be a cool release :D

As for the panel layout - personally I like the dual-panel better but I could understand the traditional approach and wouldn't mind it that much.

[1]
