I would include a Synaptic (Installer) command or something similar. It took me ages when I first tried Ubuntu Warty (my first Linux experience, too) to find out how to install software... That said, we do have the desktop guide now, which will probably help.

Hi,

I have added the trash can to the bottom panel just like Ubuntu has
it, and stripped the top of the desktop menu so it does not include
browser/thunar/terminal/run-command.

These are available elsewhere via the panel, menu, desktop or keyboard
shortcuts anyway.

I'd like to have a clean desktop as we had in dapper and as ubuntu has
(so without trashcan, home and rootfs folders) but this is hardcoded
in upstream xfdesktop, it has no cfg option to
turn these off.

Jani

--
xubuntu-devel mailing list
xubuntu-devel@lists.ubuntu.com
