I agree with haveing xubuntu usable even on new pc-s, so the CD will probably contain<br>inskcape or other gnome dependent apps. But in the default desktop I don;t think it's a good idea<br>So the answer to 'why?' is the same as the stated goal on the wiki: gtk2 only apps in the default install.
