</a><br><br>$sudo dpkg -i evince-gtk_0.5.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb<br>$apt-get install -f<br>the last step needed if you don't have some of the deps<br><br>let me know if you find bugs in it especially if you cannot reproduce them with plain evince.
<br>the two packages conflict so you'll have to remove one to test with the other.<br>&nbsp;The only thing (besides the help menu item doing nothing) that may be different from evince<br>is not detecting all files' mimetypes correctly - I match on file extension to avoid depending on libmagic
<br>or another extra lib for now.<br><br>If files with the wrong extension or with no extension at all are freqent I'll haver to change this but so far<br>it is good as it is.<br><br>thanks<br>Jani<br><br>
