I'm drawing special attention to this bug.  The package version
referenced earlier by a triager is not available in Debian even.  I'm
going to disagree with the triager and ask one that our bug controllers
to escalate this.  

skellat at EdmundFitzgerald:~$ seeded-in-ubuntu parole
parole (from parole) is seeded in:
  ubuntustudio: dvd
  xubuntu: daily-live
parole-dev (from parole) is seeded in:
  xubuntu: supported

The triager incorrectly labelled this as "Low" as from the Ubuntu
perspective it is a non-core application but for us it is core as it
is seeded.

If somebody can take a look at the other issues in the original bug
complaint, we've got some major issues to consider.  My work schedule
continues to not permit me to have more direct influence or
participation, alas.  As such this referral is submitted for else to
pursue.

"Hope" isn't too acceptable a word here. 14.04 releases that use parole
as the Default media player can not release with a virtually worthless
player. So put parole-0.6+  in the repos

Bug description:
  After installed xubuntu-restrited-extras, i tried to play a mp4 video
  with h264 codec, but parole does not plays it. A window opens, asking
  to install the correct package, it try to search and does not
  work/find.

  Is it related to bug #1253071 ? There is no gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg in
  trusty repository.
