Hi (it seems that mails usually start with such a word…),

Could developers please rename "Gigolo" to "Remote File Systems" again, because I'm getting sick of open source projects with weird sexual names. We already have an application called "GIMP" so why make it any worse? Surely there is a dev who has English as a first language, who can spot these things!

To put it in a nutshell:
* "Remote Filesystems" was an Ubuntu-specific change, and was breaking
translations. I live in a country where people aren't very good at
foreign languages, so "Remote Filesystems" is just completely
obscure for them (even worse than Gigolo once you understand the
reason it was named like that)…
* As it's the application official name, there is a higher probability
to find useful help/hints when searching for "gigolo xfce" on the
web.
* I tried to convince the upstream developer to improve the desktop
file, at least by appending "Remote Filesystems" to "Gigolo", and he
refused. So if you have some time to rant about that, maybe you
should also try to convince him (<http://bugzilla.xfce.org/>).
Cheers,
