Hi,

gt[~]$ nmap -p 1-65535 localhost

Starting Nmap 4.76 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2009-04-13 11:48 CEST
Interesting ports on localhost (127.0.0.1):
Not shown: 65533 closed ports
PORT STATE SERVICE
631/tcp open ipp
37902/tcp open unknown

Nmap done: 1 IP address (1 host up) scanned in 2.05 seconds
gt[~]$ netstat -atndp | grep 37902
(Not all processes could be identified, non-owned process info
will not be shown, you would have to be root to see it all.)
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:37902 0.0.0.0:*
LISTEN 4100/xfce4-session
gt[~]$

Is there a reason why xfce4-session is listening on that port? How can
I close that port without killing xfce4-session?

Thanks,
