I hope I'm not too late with this. I tried the login theme, and since I
use timed login, I found the message from the timer almost impossible
to read. I have to look real hard to find that it is counting down the
seconds.

Other than that, I like the screen. Not sure what you mean by the
scaling properties, but the login box looked good on my screen. I run
an Envision LCD set for 1400x900. Everything looked proportional to me.
