Thanks. Now I am having some other weird problems though.

I have to activate the plugins in plugin manager _every time_ I start gnumeric. I tried erasing ~/.gnumericrc but
it didn't help.

Also, if I go to File -> Preferences... I get a crash and a core dump
every time:

[2]+  Segmentation fault      (core dumped) gnumeric

but can't find the core file anywhere.
