did not know about that bug, and I am not sure if it is the same issue.
AFAIK thunar is not built with debug but that may have changed in gutsy.
The issue I see is on the xubuntu liveCD mounting any partition 
(non-removable) causes a crash. It used to work until a while ago in the 
installed system
