Hi,

Apologies for XPosting, but this is of interest to both lists:

Read me first
Why Linux is the perfect system for people who hate computers
http://technology.guardian.co.uk/weekly/story/0,,2054394,00.html

"And it seems a terrible shame to throw away perfectly good old
computers just because they won't run a modern version of Windows. What
we need is a Granny Linux, something that is safe from both malice at
one end of the modem cable and bafflement at the other.

I think I may have found it, in the form of Xubuntu (xubuntu.org), a
version of Ubuntu Linux that runs on small and old computers."

This was on the second page of the Technology supplement, that the
Guardian runs every Thursday. It's print, not just pixels!

Regards

john
