Xubuntu way to add printer? (was Feedback & Suggestions)

I posted this to another list. This seems the easiest way to get 127.0.0.1:631 to work.
There is a way to get this to work.
sudo adduser cupsys shadow
sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart
Should we do this by default and risk the security hole?
Honestly we need a gui printing Client that adds a printer (or nag someone to develop one).
IMHO the XFCE printing menu is totally useless as you cannot add or delete a printer (which is what most users want !)
