Xfce session bugs

Hello.
It seems Xfce session is kind of buggy on my system. Each time I shutdown
the
the system, all programs except Xfce-terminal, which starts maximized on
the
third desktop, Gaim, which starts on the first desktop, and Mrxvt, which
uses
its own internal placing system, are messed up.
Opera asks me about restoring its session (which is what happens when it
crashes or is uncleanly closed), Firefox does the same (I use a session
saver
for it), Gvim pops up on the wrong desktop, not the last one.
I tried removing all the sessions. I tried creating multiple sessions and
choosing
different ones. I tried even starting xfce-session, or killing it.
Session saving is enabled, prompting for it is disabled (so it should be
automatic).
Any ideas as to a way I can repair it? All I want is to see my apps
appearing
where I left them, how I left them.
Thank a lot,
Oblio
