Yes it is a known issue. The xfce desktop menu does not implement the full
Desktop Entry Specification
and does not expand the %k in the Exec= line in the .desktop file to the
path of that file. So the installer
is not started with the right command line and fails. I guess it will not be
fixed by dapper.
