I think sylpheed{-claws} would make a better _default_ email client
than t-bird due to it's light-weight and the fact that it would use the
same GTK2 theme as Xfce. A user can always install a different client
later if they wish.

I've been using mousepad for quite some time now and find it to a
better choice than leafpad because you can print from it. Gedit has too
many whistles and bells IMO.

We seem to be off to a good start, lots of good suggestions and
discussions happening.
