You'd need to add 'rox -p desktop' to the xinitrc, same as you did for
esound. I think by default it only puts one icon on the desktop. The
only problem is it also takes over setting the backdrop color or image
making the desktop (xfdesktop) settings appear not to work.

Then we should make rox an option for the desktop. Otherwise, as noted
above, rox adds one icon to the desktop on first startup.
