 libhal0 - Hardware Abstraction Layer - shared library
Changes:
 hal (0.2.92-1ubuntu2) warty; urgency=low
 .
   * debian/rules: added cdbs patch system rules, added debian/patches/
   * 01_log_to_syslog.patch: fixed hald/logger.c to log via syslog (as
     intended), not to the void
   * 02_ioctl_errors.patch: added HAL_ERROR messages to all previously
     unchecked ioctl() calls to help debugging
   * 03_hal_conf_in_user.patch: fixed hal.conf.in to speficy '@HAL_USER@'
     instead of hardcoded 'root'
   * 04_min_privileges.patch:
     - added option --drop-privileges to hald which
       causes hald to run under normal user 'hal' with some additional
       capabilities (CAP_NET_ADMIN and groups floppy and cdrom);
     - hald/Makefile.am: now link with -lcap to support capabilities
   * README.Debian: added note about removed privileges and how to reenable
     file system detection by putting hal into disk
   * debian/hal.postinst: create user and group hal if necessary
   * updated debian/hald.8 manpage to describe --drop-privileges
   * added build-dependency libcap-dev (now required by hald/hald.c)
   * now build-depend on debhelper >= 4.1.16 for po-debconf support
   * added debconf question whether hald should run as root (default yes for
     Debian, default no for Ubuntu)
   * deleted debian/hald.init, replaced it by hald.init.in
     which is put in /usr/share/hal/ and dynamically installed by ucf
   * /etc/dbus-1/system.d/hald.conf is now installed by ucf since the user must
     be specified according to debconf answer
   * hald now depends on ucf and ${misc:Depends} (for debconf)
   * test whether invoke-rc.d is available and fall back to directly call init
     script if not (compliance to Policy 9.3.3.2)
