Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: transcode

Hello,

Using the following command doesn't work to rip/encode a dvd in .ogg :
$ transcode -i /dev/dvd -x dvd,dvd -T 3,-1 -a 1 -y null,ogg -b 256 -m audio.ogg

As a result, right after it reads/decrypts the dvd with libdvdcss I get :
[decode_mpeg2.c] libmpeg2 acceleration: none (plain C)

The funny part is, it works marvelously with .mp3 or .wav :
$ transcode -i /dev/dvd -x dvd,dvd -T 3,-1 -a 1 -y null,raw --lame_preset=insane -m audio.mp3
$ transcode -i /dev/dvd -x dvd,dvd -T 3,-1 -a 1 -y null,wav -m audio.wav

Ubuntu 9.10-Karmic Koala
transcode:
  Installed: 3:1.1.4-0.0ubuntu4

Expected behavior : transcode has support for ogg output.
What happened : it does not.

Regards,

** Affects: transcode (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
