[Bug 507859] [NEW] No longer registers as "dock or panel" in xfce/compiz

I am running xfce4 with compiz.

Previously, gkrellm has correctly set its status as dock or panel, so
that maximised windows have not covered it.

Now, maximised windows are going to the screen edge, behind gkrellm. see
attached screenshot.
