Hmm... The same problem occurs when I use VLC (I have to check if the
problem persist after a reboot). However, Totem works fine.

VLC output (maybe this is another error, I don't know...):
On first try:

$ vlc GCBC_SCR.XviD.avi
VLC media player 1.0.2 Goldeneye
