Availability: 
It's currently in multiverse because it originally got synced from debian contrib.  It's since then been moved into debian main.

Rationale:
libvdpau should be moved into main because a package in main will soon be build-depending upon it (ffmpeg): http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-multimedia/ffmpeg.git;a=commit;h=5717192206f6aba44f833d6ee2c102fbf3276cd0

Security:
Package hasn't existed for 18 months, but no known issues to date.

QA:
No additional work required to test with.  Any hardware that supports VDPAU can use it.

UI:
N/A

Dependencies:
All in main.

Maint:
We'll be syncing this from debian at all times hopefully.
