Explanation of the Ubuntu delta and why it can be dropped:

debian has incorporated sebner's patch. Hence can be synced again

Changelog since current lucid version 1.5.2-1ubuntu1:

encfs (1.5.2-2) unstable; urgency=low

  * Rebuild with version dependency on librlog5
  * de.po update from Mathias Klein, removed other de_*.po (closes: #354226)
  * README.Debian updated (closes: #498976), debian/copyright update to GPLv3
  * gcc-4.4 build fix from Klaus Ethgen (closes: #546378)
  * debian/watch update, thanks to Yan Morin (closes: #554492)
  * added lintian overrides to ignore messages related to private shared lib
