[Bug 476423] Re: frozen bubble and other games freezing

SNAP I'm also on Toshiba NB200 netbook but I can't even get to the menu screen of the game, it try's to launch frozen-bubble but just fails, so does secret maryo chronicles, monsterz, pingus, Super Tux, Super Tux Kart, Tasty Static & lots of others the only games I have managed to get to work so far are:
Gweled, SameGame, KSquares, KPatience, Kolor Lines, KnetWalk, KBounce, Monkey Bubble, Gnometris, Kapman, Kbreakout, Kfourinline, Khangman, Kmahjongg, Kshisen & Ksudoku

Neither have I managed to get anything working under Wine, as I tried
the windows version of frozen bubble, I also tried iTunes & a few other
games, but nothing seems to work.

I also have filed a bug report & asked questions about this, I also know the reason most of the games don't work, it is because our version of Perl is too new on Kubuntu 9.10 we have the new version 5.10, & frozen-bubble requires 5.8.7, there is an unofficial way to downgrade Perl which will allow us to run all the programs we can't get to work but it involves applying a regex patch,
