Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: lottanzb
Despite trying to chase volume-setting related issues in other bug
threads I've still got the same problem where when I log in the volume
control is ALWAYS zero (muted) in 9.04 or 9.10. The only way this
doesn't happen is to issue a shutdown from cmd-line. Exiting via the
GDM GUI seems to always result in a muted sound level on return. I
dont see this on every installation of Ubuntu. But on the PC which is
being a media-pc and autologin and starts XMBC the volume is always
zero. Which is annoying as you have to exit XMBC change the volume and
restart XMBC.
Any tips on how to troubleshoot this further and what I can collect
would be useful. Short of reinstalling Ubuntu and seeing if that helps
I have run out of ideas.
** Affects: lottanzb (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
