Hi,

I am experiencing similar problem in Ubuntu 9.10. I am not sure if it is
not related to my ATI fglrx drivers (currently version 8.69.4 -
installed from ati-driver-installer-10-1-x86.x86_64.run) and my VGA
compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RS780M/RS780MN [Radeon HD
3200 Graphics]. But colleague of mine is running exactly same laptop
with the same drivers KDE without any similar issues. I also tried
various different ATI drivers but the behavior did not change.

The crash happens after a random click (closing a window, clicking a
button) in all kind of applications (QT, GTK), sometimes 3 times a day,
sometimes once in a week.
