[Bug 216544] Re: [hardy] notebook freezes with kismet

I just crashed linux twice, starting kismet.
$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID:	Ubuntu

 uname -a
Linux Pieters-PC 2.6.31-19-generic #56-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 28 02:39:34 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux


The screen goes black with a small white cursor in top left.
Needs a hard reset with power button
HP 6730b laptop

Sometime kismet runs fine.
