[Bug 520396] [NEW] Gnome fails to bring up the monitors if enters in "stand by for monitors"

Public bug reported:
If I got the second monitor connected, and after some time the computer is not used, it enters in stand by (just switching off monitors) and fails to bring up the monitors when needed.
So the OS is up and running but xrandr won't see any displays connected.
This can be not related to Gnome, but this is the desktop environment I use and thats why I report it.
