Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau

-nouveau is a video driver we're evaluating for becoming the new default
driver for nvidia hardware.

Historically, -nouveau originated from the -nv driver maintained by
nvidia, and has been enhanced through community efforts to add KMS,
additional chip support, and better support for X.org standards such as
xrandr. Going forward, plans include providing accelerated 3D and more
active support than we see with the -nv driver. For all these reasons,
our plan is to shift to -nouveau as the default open source driver for
nVidia hardware.

I've reviewed https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuMainInclusionRequirements in
detail, and confirm that there are no violations of the requirements or
nontrivial problems.

** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
