I found I could not access any pages on the dokuwiki until I changed the
line in /usr/share/dokuwiki/conf/apache.conf

from
Alias /dokuwiki/ /usr/share/dokuwiki

to
Alias /dokuwiki/ /usr/share/dokuwiki/

ie, adding the trailing '/'
