DarioFreije, I would rather have the problem resolved instead of trying
to keep up with a script (I am not a proficient programmer) from one
version of Ubuntu to the next.  That is the same set up I have,
secondary screen is a TV with mythfrontend running on it with the power
to the TV normally off.  Thank you for the script suggestion, though.
In return, I will share something I learned sort of script-like I learn
with this set up.  I have a gnome-panel quick launcher "mythfrontend
-display :0.1" to open MythTV on the TV screen.  Don't know if it will
work for you though.
