[Bug 437152] [NEW] resize does not reduce filesize if filename is the same

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus-image-converter

resizing a 6MP picture to e.g. 0.75MP picture will work, but file size
stays the same, if you "resize in place".

So the file container of that picture does not get shriked.
