Re-hello,
I got it working.

It had the "--use-jack" option activated but no port number was given.  I unchecked the option and now gtk-recordMyDesktop works really well. Here is the gtk-recordMyDesktop-crash.log.

#This is the command given at initialization:
recordmydesktop -o /home/moma/out.ogv --fps 15 --no-sound --channels 1 --freq 22050 --v_quality 63 --s_quality 10 --workdir /tmp --use-jack 

#recordMyDesktop stderror output:
Argument Usage: --use-jack port1 port2... portn
