If there is a good way to figure out the current Ubuntu development
series without using LP API or doing screen-scraping, I'm willing to
make the series argument in "mail" mode optional too (hard-coding it
isn't really an option as we would need to update it once every
release).

But as it currently stands, the only option we have is to fix it in the
documentation that it's only in "--lp" mode optional.
