Hi,

I have the same hardware as you (also a D630). I can confirm what you
have. Running Karmic. I do however have a working network setup. And I
never call guessnet directly.

But my interfaces file looks different, see

for what I have (the page is WIP) but that part is fully done.

What happens when you ifup/ifdown your interfaces? Do you see any
relevant information?
