Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xdelta3

When trying to use the xdelta3 module in my python program I get the
following error, which is the same I get when I call xdelta3-test.py:

peter at pgoetz:~$ /usr/share/doc/python-xdelta3/examples/xdelta3-test.py
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/doc/python-xdelta3/examples/xdelta3-test.py", line 19, in <module>
    import xdelta3
  File "/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/xdelta3.py", line 5, in <module>
    import _xdelta3
ImportError: No module named _xdelta3

Package: python-xdelta3
Version: 0s.dfsg-1ubuntu2
Release: Jaunty Jackalope (note: it works without problems on my intrepid installation)

** Affects: xdelta3 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
