[Bug 431301] [NEW] after an automatic update my printer stop working

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

after an automatic update to my OS my printer  stop working which update
I cannot remember which update, this  resulted not able to print to the
printer in the print process box the the job is saying just pending. I
have reloaded the print driver on numerous occasions to no avail.  I
have also printed  via my laptop which proved the printer working. the
printer is an colour laser jet HP 8550n connected via parallel port
