I am using ubunti 9.0.4 natively (no windows host) for the past 36 hours
or so. Have an AMD Athlon 1.33MHz and an ATI Radeon AIW 9000 64MB card.
All was fine till about 2 hours ago. For the first time since clean
install instead of Suspend I Shut down completely and powered backup.
Again for about an hour+ everything was fine including photo cropping
etc in GIMP. I was then simply logging out of a simple Gmail.com site
and the system froze! Nothing would work or respond. I had to power down
and backup. O/S seems to load but at some the monitor shows frozen bit
pixels and that's it...

I have tried all boot options including 'try to repair graphics' and all
of them complete ok. Even all graphic functions seem to work when I boot
from cd! but if try and boot normally the same problem.

I did install the ATI Binary XORG Driver yesterday - this was to see if
I can get my TV out working. But it didn't and the system had been
working fine otherwise. I am not a programmer or otherwise geeky...but
can follow instructions. Please help!
