This is not a firefox issue if you see it in opera. Opera is QT based. I dont understand the part you stated

if downloaded its not a browser issue but a local one. Ok i was going to point you to trouble shooting jerky playback but someone changed the wiki now i cant find what im looking for.
I really think this is either the media player you are using or sound drivers or somthing of the sort
