The bug is also present on the Karmic Server 9.10 Alpha 5 AM64 ISO
release.  None of the suggested fixes above corrected the problem.  I'm
running on an Opteron based system, Asus M2N-LR mainboard with onboard
ATI ES1000 graphics.  Nothing else noteworthy in the system.
