[Bug 428291] [NEW] Undo and Redo menu items don't do anything

Currently the undo and redo menu items don't do anything.

Their function (I think) would need to get the text from a buffer that
updated itself every time the search entry changed (I think the buffer
would have to be a list to incorporate the many undo steps).
