Still does happen with latest alpha iso...
the kdm.log report
"failed to load module "i810""

loggin fromthe textual console and executing 
sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart 
starts kdm and progress into the livecd "start" 

There must be is some script on the livecd that makes kdm trying to use
the old i810 driver
