Neither I do. I'm exactly sure what the collected data shows in Ubuntu.

Indeed. Well, just close this, for the moment (is there any way to close
bugs by e-mail in launchpad?).
I will try to work a little bit closer with upstream, perhaps delving
into the code. Let me see what I can do.
