The problem still exists in Jaunty. This really critical for non-english users to use texmaker.

This is the file for which the problem occurs for me. This file opened with vim is fine,
and latex can handle it without errors. However, texmaker does not show the accents
at all (and, worst, if I save the file the accented characters are simply lost).
