You mean closing as a Won't Fix, right?
Isn't remaining New for 3 years almost the Ubuntu's answer already?

It depends on Ubuntu being a DIY self-service or a PnP home delivery.
In fact, *users* should have their word.
Go out in the street and shout :
- who likes to install Lives and have problems? :-)

But it's better to have a howto for an unsolved case,
than to have a solved case with no howto, like just too many.
