** Attachment added: "mount output"

** Description changed:
Binary package hint: grub2
I have a rock CTX pro with a hot swappable sony DW-q52oA DVD drive.
Once grub was installed the CD drive is no longer recognised in ubuntu /
windows, this is also the case for grub2. The system is still boot-able
from the DVD drive so its defiantly working.
Installing lilo corrects this problem leading me to believe that there
is something strange going on with grub rather than just the
manufacturer.
In <hardy the DVD drive appeared but didn't spin up and just returned an
unmountable error, since jaunty the drive doesn't appear at all now.

+ Note: Found this in the forums http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=557867&highlight=rock+ctx+pro
+ (just others with the same error)
