How to make an Ubuntu package <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide/Complete>. It is long but not hard at all.
You will also need to understand the new Upstart infrastructure <http://upstart.ubuntu.com/getting-started.html> (used on Ubuntu and Fedora).
