[Bug 467028] [NEW] upgrade to jaunty crashes on "daptup --pre"

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: daptup

Update Manager (upgrade to Kosmic) calls "daptup --pre" which fails

upgraded  using apt-get upgrade..

 executing Synaptic now fails on reload (on calling  "daptup --pre")
because of error output

but executing "sudo daptup --pre" does not show errors
