Binary package hint: texlive-base

I want to compile a new kernel for loop-aes support and like stated on
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Kernel/Compile executed the following
commands...

> sudo apt-get build-dep linux-image-$(uname -r)
> apt-get source linux-image-$(uname -r)

but this error was thrown:

> Richte texlive-latex-base ein (2007.dfsg.2-4ubuntu1) ...
> Reinstalling deleted mandatory conffile color.cfg
> Reinstalling deleted mandatory conffile graphics.cfg
> update-updmap: cannot read /etc/texmf/updmap.d/00updmap.cfg
> dpkg: Fehler beim Bearbeiten von texlive-latex-base (--configure):
> Unterprozess installiertes post-installation-Skript gab den Fehlerwert 1 zurück

that was about two weeks ago. and since then it could never be installed correctly.
I apt-get update(ed) and dist-upgrade(ed) every day, but it never succeeded.

I also purged all of the problematic packages, did a 'rm -r /etc/texmf' and then tried
to reinstall the build-deps but it didn't help.
