Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: postgresql-8.3

Description: Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS
Release: 8.04

postgresql-8.3:
  Installed: 8.3.8-0ubuntu8.04
  Candidate: 8.3.8-0ubuntu8.04
  Version table:
 *** 8.3.8-0ubuntu8.04 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com hardy-updates/main Packages
        500 http://security.ubuntu.com hardy-security/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     8.3.1-1 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages

I had to make the changes in the attached patch file in order to use the
PG_MODULE_MAGIC macro.

>From a quick scan it looks as though there may also be a similar problem
with PG_FUNCTION_INFO_V1 also on line 329.

** Affects: postgresql-8.3 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
